The European Union (EU) Procurement Directive 2014/24/EU was transposed into national UK law through the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and came into force on 26 February 2015. Public procurement is govered by these Regulations where the contract value exceeds certain thresholds, unless one of the exemptions apply.
