EU Procurement Thresholds

The detail of the European Union (EU) procurement Directive 2014/24/EU and the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 which implements it, only apply to contracts that have an estimated value which is in excess of certain financial threshold values.

Thresholds are reviewed every two years - the thresholds from January 2016 - December 2017 are as follows:-

Supplies     Services       Works           Social & Other Services*

Central Government Bodies     £106,047    £106,047      £4,104,394    £589,148

Other contracting authorities   £164,176    £164,176      £4,104,394    £589,148

* Social and other specific services are subject to the new ‘light touch regime’ in the PCR 2015 (the full list of services can be found in Schedule 3 of the Regulations).
